Petru este profesor de matematică la Politehnică şi, în ciuda celor 42 de ani împliniţi, duce o viaţă lipsită de griji. Serile lui se împart între ieşitul la bere cu băieţii şi vizitele la Irina, cu care este într-o relaţie pe care nu şi-o asumă decât pe jumătate. Când Irina rămâne însărcinată, Petru este forţat să îşi schimbe stilul de viaţă şi să se maturizeze în sfârşit…
