A trecut un deceniu de când fiul de şase ani al Elenei a dispărut fără urmă. Ultimele lui vorbe au fost în timpul unui apel telefonic în care îi spunea că s-a pierdut pe o plajă din Franţa şi că nu-şi găseşte tatăl. În prezent, Elena e pe aceeaşi plajă şi îşi umple zilele administrând un restaurant. Începe în sfârşit să fie ea însăşi după această traumă din trecut, când întâlneşte un adolescent care îi aduce aminte de fiul ei. Cei doi vor începe o relaţie cu urmări neaşteptate.
