Despre viața și fotografiile lui Iosif Berman (1890-1941).
„Omul cu o mie de ochi”, cum a fost numit de către Geo Bogza, trimitea material fotografic și în afara țării, la Associated Press, Scandinavian Newspaper Press, ziarului New York Times și altor câteva reviste londoneze. A lucrat mai bine de 15 ani pentru presa de atunci. Supranumit „decanul fotoreporterilor”, a fost aproape de mișcarea de avangardă și a avut o contribuție majoră la dezvoltarea fotografiei etnografice. Dimitrie Gusti l-a numit „coautor al imaginii satului și țăranului român“, cerându-i de fiecare dată să însoțească echipele monografice în satele românești în perioada interbelică.

“The Man with a Thousand Eyes“, as he was called by Geo Bogza, was sending photo materials abroad, to the Associated Press, Scandinavian Newspaper Press, New York Times, and other London magazines. He dedicated more than 15 years of his life to the press. Called “the senior of photographers“, he was close to the Avant guard movement and had a major contribution to the development of ethnographic photography. Dimitrie Gusti called him “the co-author of the image of the Romanian villages during the in-between war period“.
